I am just tired....of everything

I can't believe all the crap that is going on in this country these days.
Rosie O'donell had a good idea. I think I will register as an Independent too.
All these things are creating a perfect distraction for GWB and Co. to run roughshod over the country. Jerks. Yeah, I said it. Whatever.... I don't wanna think anymore, my brain is fried. On that note, I will go and study. I got my test results for my second A&P test- a 94%. I thought I totally bombed, but ended up with the #4 score. Ilamdulillah. This is hard though.
I am out.

Hippity Hoppity, Y'all.

I thought I would finally post some pictures from Easter. Not bad, I am only a couple of days late....I started school on the 29th of March, quit my job, and now here I am, a stay at home mom again, this time a student. I took my first test yesterday, it was on the first six chapters of Anatomy and Physiology. Studying for it kind of sucked, but the test seemed easy. Which worries me. What if I totally blew it? I mean I am no over-achiever to be sure, but I don't want to fail....Eh, I better not stress. It's bad enough I barely got any sleep thinking of the test last night, and questions that I most surely got wrong kept on popping into my head. I had to take an extra Ambien at 2 am because I was wide awake just plexing. Crap, whatever.
We kept finding these bugs in the house, (in addition to the huge Madagascar hissing cockraoches, that is.) they look like ants with wings, just bigger than ants. Ayman would pick them up and put them in the back of his new ATW Mini Radio Flyer and give them rides around the house. I thought the first one was just a one time thing, then we kept on finding them, by my sliding glass door. It turns out it is termites. Fun. Thank god we only rent. I guess they are going to come and spray. At least I don't have to pay for it. God only knows how many of those things Jennah's eaten. Now if we can just get rid of the roaches. I got up at 2 am, and there was a big ass one and a half incher, just kicking it on the counter top. He had Internet Explorer open on my laptop and was surfing roach porn. It was so belligerent it didn't even try to run away when I turned on the light... I think it was ill. I put a line of death around my microwave about 2 weeks ago and have been finding huge sluggish roaches ever since. The can of roach killer says "Kills instantly" I guess that only works for the small ones, because my mom had to spray so much of that stuff on one roach that it died from drowning, not poison. So, I guess the roach killer just makes them die a very slow death. Usually, I find them in their death throes and do away with them. I am sure I will find that guy in a few days, after all of it's children have hatched and have planned their attack on my family. Yuck.
Oh, and by the way, not that this is a Hollywood gossip blog or anything, but Anna Nicole Smith's baby daddy turned out to be Larry Birkhead. You knew it was going to turn out like that. Now they can start work on the Lifetime movie.....
Any hoo, enjoy the pictures and thank you to: Mom , Dad, Alex, Renee, and Gene for all the cool Easter presents for the kids. They are enjoying them alot. Jennah likes to carry around the socks you got her, Auntie Naynay, and she has her gloworm and the teddy bear she got from Grampa in the crib with her.

Jennah first Easter egg hunt. Observe the dress with matching hair kerchief.

Ayman with his all terrain egg-hauler/bug transport. Thanks Gene.

Jennah was wiped out from the days activities when we got her home so I put her down, she was asleep before I got out of the room, so of course, I had to take a picture of it.

Alright already...

Here are some pics from Jennahs birthday. In this pic, I had just finished her adorable pigtails. She hated the process, but she is going to have to learn about "suffer for beauty" sometime...

Look, I'm her older, fatter twin....

Mean Auntie Cindy picked her out this adorable hat, and she really worked it.

She shared some cake with Great-Uncle Jim, or "Jungle Jim" as my younger cousins used to call him.

Mmmmmmm....cake.

A couple of firsts.....

Jennah is feeding herself theses days. this is her first time in the high chair. It is a crappy high chair, it is one of those prtable ones, so I bought a new one today that is real. It is pretty nice. Best of all it doesn't make me as nervous as the one that is pictured did.
Here is Ayman, his first time riding the bus home from preschool. When I went out to meet him and he saw me, his bottom lip started quivering, like he was going to cry. He didn't though, and tomorrow, he will ride the bus home from school again. I know it has been a long time since I blogged so I cant really remember if I mentioned that Ayman is going to school, but he does, two days a week on Thursday and Friday. I was taking him and dropping him off. However, with Jennah, it is kind of hard, and they offer door to door service over here. Right now we are in the process of getting him used to the bus, so he only rides it home. Next Thursday, he will going on the bus round trip. Woo Hoo!
So, as I mentioned before, we are going to go to Egypt next month. We got the leave approved, we bought the airline tickets, (holy crap! all told, it cost 3600!) I bought a refurbished laptop to keep in touch with everyone, and we are almost ready to go. The next steps are all really prep and purchasing. We buy the nieces ans nephews clothes, and of course, I wash the gray out of my hair and put some caramel in it. Then, there is packing and all that crap. I am too excited. Hopefully, while I am there I will be able to post on the blog if the connection to the internet doesn't make me completely lose my patience. The new computer has a DVD so I can bring some Diego, and Blues Clues to keep the kiddies happy. Good deal.
Well, I will keep everyone up to date....Sorry it took me so long to get back up and running.

Ok, here we go.

Well, my crappy assed job approved my leave of absence for the middle of February to the middle of March. Do you all know what that means? Egypt. We are making the very long, but oh so worth it, trip to Egypt. I can't wait to see everyone again. Just thought i would let you all in on that.
I will be posting holiday pictures soon, so hang tight, my peeps.

Potty Animal.

No Mommy blog would be complete with out potty training pictures. Here is my boy working that potty. We like to make sure he is nice and settled in with a cup of strawberry Qwik before we have him do his business. Sadly, he still hasn't quite got the pooping concept down yet, but boy, can that kid pee.

My little Muslim boy.....

Here is Ayman, imitating his daddy praying. In the above picture, he is just starting the prayer.

Here he is in the position or ruku'a. Seriously folks, it took me a long time to learn this. He is a natural.

And finally, taslim, or the end of the prayer. How 'bout that? Ma'sha'allah.

Halloween '06

Well, I think I can declare this years Halloween a success. After working on Ayman for the last week or so about trick or treating and having him watch a Dora the Explorer Halloween episode a gillion times, we went trick or treating. Last Wednesday I tried his Elmo costume on him and he had a ridiculous hissy. So being a nice mommy, I made him a Dracula costume. He looked awesome. He really worked the door to door as well. We went trick or treating in my Aunt and Uncles neighborhood in Manteca, not too far away. Ayman had to keep up with his candy crazy cousin Adam. After the first three houses, Ayman was going up to the doors without me, like a pro. I waited out on the side walk with the princess and we watched Ayman collect his booty. (I went through it when I got home. I don't ever remember geting so much stuff. It could have been the cute factor.) So here is what I did in the interest of my sons teeth, and his daddy's sanity-- I got all the good chocolate candy out of the mess and left the crap. We will dole it out to him over the course of who knows how long, but momma has her hook up of Almond Joy, Butterfinger, Snickers and Whoppers. I love Halloween. Yes, Ayman, that is right. when you get big enough to read this you can call me to task for horking your candy, but until then you are none the wiser. I love you, boy. Anyhoo, he was soooooo good and careful and did what I told him to all night- until we got home. Can you say OVERSTIMULATED? Well he was. He got a bath and went to bed. end of story, sort of.

This was Jennah, she slept for most of the trick or treating. she was a good girl. Her Sweet Pea outfit didn't work out so well so we just stuck with her Halloween themed clothing I got her from Target. It was all good. We didn't hear hardly a peep from her all night.
Thanks Uncle Jim and Aunt Cindy for having us over to your neighborhood, and thank you Adam for being so patient with your little cousin on his first real Halloween.

Crazy cute girl.

So as I wrote on Wednesday, Jennah turned seven months old. As my mom pointed out, I posted a picture of the angel on the day she was born, but not a current picture. So here they are. I let Jennah have a taste of chocolate cake. As you can see, a little goes a long way.

Is my kid cute or what?
Totally not biased.

Tired and lazy makes for bad blogging.

I really haven't wanted to do blog lately. You can totally tell this by lack of posting. I have been doing a lot though. I got braces three weeks ago. And damn. They hurt. I have also been applying for respiratory school. The school is 19 months long. I had to go and look at the school first ( it is an hour away ) and then the next week my friend Nelsy and Sheryl and I went to do the placement testing for it. I did good on the tests so I can enroll in the program. Now I only have to put the rest of my packet together with my resume, and a handwritten essay, along with a letter of reference from a respiratory therapist (which dude, will be so hard. My dad and brothers are RTs and I work with a few of them in the hospital....) anyway. All this with work and two kids. Sometimes I don't really know what to do with myself. It starts at the end of November. It is going to be hard, but it will be worth it. The pay is so much better and I can totally do it. My job right now is going bye bye. The hospital decided to put the phlebotomists, under the supervision of the nursing department. They have to change our job description, and we have reapply for our jobs. I don't really want the new job though. It will be more work for a job that I didn't sign up for in the first place. I am going to see if I can collect unemployment if they eliminate my job and change it, why not? I bet I wouldn't be able to though. But if I could that would be a dream. And, ideal for a school schedule. Eh. Whatever. I am just tired. Friday night there was like 4 codes in the hospital, two of them in the er. The Dr working was a total tool and I was running my ass off all night. He almost intubated a 95 year old man with a DNR. The dude had some last wishes. He was lucky his daughter was there to make sure they were observed or that doc would have intubated him for sure. Jerk.
On a happier note, I got front row seats for Kathy Griffin. It is on November 29th.
I am going with my mom and sis in law. And you know what is cool? I saw her at that time last year too. Something to look forward too. Well I am gonna go now. I have heartburn and I am pooped out.

Oh Good and Knowledgeable Readers....

Can anyone give me some tips on potty training the boy? I am gently attempting this right now. Here is some info, about my style.
We don't use a potty chair, but do use steps up to the toilet ( not for lack of trying, the potty chairs opening is too small, my son has a hubba hubba hiney, and i don't want him pissing all over the place, since that piece of crap deflector doesn't stay on the seat). So far when he poops in his pants, I take him in the bathroom and put poop in the toilet and have him flush it.
When I catch him going to his pooping place (behind an overstuffed chair. I always see him from his eyes up.) I ask, "Do you have poo poo?" and his response to this is always "Poo Poo?" Like he has no idea what i am talking about. Riiiight. Then, I take him to the bathroom and set him on the toilet and say over and over, "poo poo, go poo poo, here is where we poop" and that kind of stuff over and over. He thinks I am nuts, I'm sure. But that is it. Any kind of advice on this would totally be appreciated.
Cass out.
P.S. the only thing I got on spell check today was: poop poop poo poo hubba hubba and hiney. hahahahaha

Okay, Here Is The Deal.

Last week, when I went to my doctors appointment, they set a scheduled induction date for me--Wednesday the 15th. I just didn't publish it here because I didn't want to jinx it. Today, I went to the doctor again and it seems like the time is right for that induction. So here it is, The Official Word: I will be reporting to the hospital I work at tomorrow, at around seven pm to give this girl the ole' heave ho. So, if you don't see anything for a few days, you know I am in a state of shock and awe and haven't had time to blog my experience. I will return though. To be sure.

At least you all didn't have to see my mucous plug.

A Pregnant Lady in All Her Pregnant Glory

Here are pictures of me huge, taken for posterity at my baby shower. The shower was given to me by my sister in law Renee, and my mom, Cindy. It was a great day, and I am very thankful to the both of them for doing something so special.

BTW, people, I go to the doctor tomorrow (after yet another pedicure) I guess we will see if the walking I have been doing has helped me out any.

Ugh.

Today has really sucked over here on the pregnancy front. My back, is KILLING me. I have been uncomfortable all day. The baby is trying to kick her way out of me, Alien style. I was pretty concerned earlier this evening, so I had my girlfriend check with L and D at our hospital. They told me to, and I am serious here, take two Tylenol and call them later. They also wanted me to drink 32 oz of water, just in case what I am experiencing is dehydration. So I did this. The nurse also told me that if the contractions come 3-4 minutes apart for one hour to come on in. This whole pregnancy is very different than with Ayman. I don't know what to make of it. Oh well, I will do as I am told, and see what happens. I will keep every one posted to be sure.

Also today, at Amrs job they gave him a surprise baby shower. They all chipped in and gave him a 200 dollar gift card and a cake. I thought that was soooo nice. He said that his boss told him that she needed to speak to him in the conference room when he came back from his afternoon break. Everyone was in there with the cake and they all said "Surprise!" Amr still didn't get that it was a surprise for him, they had to tell him, "No, Amr, it is for you, the surprise is for you." So he really was surprised. Cool.

It's reaaalllly ON now.

I went to the doctor yesterday, and we will be inducing my labor next week. WOO HOO!
So, until then I will be walking. And walking. And walking. I had a semi encouraging cervical exam, (open fingertip, I guess better than nothing) So, I walk. And vacuum. Do some squats. Maybe a few Jumping jacks.... Still haven't packed my bag for the hospital yet, but the babies' bed came and that is now good to go as well.

Now, we wait.

The news is in....

We had the ultra sound this morning. The baby weighs between 7lbs 12 oz-14oz. Goodness, that is nearly eight pounds. How do I do this? We got to see her face really well, and as soon as my darling brother scans the pictures and sends them to me, I will share with you all out there too. And finally, last but not least, we found out FOR Sure, 100% NO Doubt that it is a little girl. I trust my ob's PA, and all, but her ultrasound machine is like, 100 years old. Today, I saw little girl parts. TOTALLY. Whew. I would have had a lot of returning to do.
So now I just finish nesting. The cosleeper is on the way, the baby closet is organized. Now for the stroller/car seat (or travel system, if you will) I also need to pack for the hospital, but I think I will leave that undone. Or not, I don't know, my brain is mush at this point. Ok signing off for now, I have a munchkin in the tub that needs a toothbrushing.
