Wooo Frickin' HOOOOO!!!!

I am so stoked. I cannot believe the democrats have the power, again, finally. Nancy Pelosi will be speaker of the house.. Now that isn't just a Democrat. She is a San Fransisco liberal Democrat. So awesome. SUCK IT BUSH. Enjoy the next two years, lame duck. And Rumsfeld, hardee-fricking-har jerkoff, your out of a job, write that one down. And on that note i give you adorable pictures, recently snapped, of my monkeys, enjoy.

Here we have Ayman wearing a stuffed frog easter basket from 2005 on his head while playing a saxophone toy. Totally awesome. Creative too. He has a real sense of style for an almost 3 year old. You really have to appreciate it.

Here are both monkeys. Ayman was playing the never boring game i like to call "Careful, Sissy!" He made it up not me. It goes like this:

me: hey hey hey hey-careful, sissy!

Ayman: Carefool sissy!

Jennah: hehehehe, snort grunt giggle

me, nervous: seriously, Ayman be careful of your sissy, she isn't your pillow! you'll hurt her!

Ayman: Sissy!

Jennah: hehehehehehe snort fart grunt giggle

me, resigned: heyheyhey! look over here at mommy! *click*

Shhhhh....

Posted by PicasaHere we have the garden variety newborn female in her natural larval state. After having fed she is sated and ready to process the nourishment in a short sleep cycle. During this cycle it is not uncommon to hear rumblings similar to the adult of the species, coming from the bowels. If not attended to in a timely manner these rumblings can be the precursor to a disgusting mess that requires adult attendance to change its soft outer shell of onesie and sleeper.

Infant Geographia

Posted by HelloHere we have the human baby, Egyptian-Portugese variety, out of his natural habitat, at a a celebration of Xmas. The infant is out of his comfort zone--his element, and does not yet understand the gathering. He appears confused and scared, as he reaches for the comfort of something he recognizes from home-- the television remote control.

This is That Baby at his Great Uncle Gary and Aunt Gails house for Xmas this year. He was in rare form people, lemme tell ya.

Adventures of a 10 month old

Ayman is usually corralled in the living room. He has his toys there, there is nothing dangerous, and it is easy to keep an eye on him from the kitchen. Tonight I left a large space between the ottoman and chair that serves as his corral fence. He got stuck and pitched a hissy, so, feeling guilty, I opened it up and let him roam.

First stop: Oscillating Fan Land
Mommy: "NO NOOOOO!"
Ayman: "Uhhh!" (translation: whatever, there are other things to mess with)

Next stop: Bookshelf Boulevard, here the traveled baby picks up some reading materials. His likes are:
Making Faces by Kevin Aucoin, The Complete Mother Goose, and a collection of Islamic teachings on cassette by Sharawi. He browses but does not buy.

Third and final stop: the less frequently traveled Outer Kitchen Region. Here the adventurous tyke stops to observe the microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher in their native habitats. Then it is on to the mysterious Beneath the Sink Cabinet with its motherlode: the garbage can. Still unsure of the cabinets, the 10 Month Old stops to manipulate it, in hopes of catching a glimpse of the elusive trashcan. After several minutes, he gives up, defeated, and starts to cry. This is my cue to send reinforcements of blanky and bzaza (his pacifier)in. The journey is over he returns to the safety of his mothers lap and chair. He is soothed and medicated with Pediacare. (he is sick people, I didn't do it to knock him out. There is whiskey for that.)

Quoting his favorite book, The Going To Bed Book, by Susan Boynton: "the moon is high, the sea is deep, they rock and rock and rock to sleep"
